Weekly Update for 09/15/14


Ever wonder what your teacher does on the weekend?  Here's a little sample of my weekend.



Yep!  That's your first grade teacher dressed up as a cat!
I am playing Jenny Any Dots in the Williamsburg Players production of Cats.
 Here I am taking a cat nap on stage.

Skill: Connections
Strategy:  Main Idea and Fact versus Fantasy
Daily 5: Introducing Listening to Reading; Continue Building Stamina for Read to Self and Read to Someone
Phonics: initial consonants f, g, l, h, d, j, k; -ot, -op, -it, 
-ig word families

Language: Writing Workshop Continuing Introduction
Math: Numbers 1-12 (SOL 1.1a)
Social Studies: Citizenship (SOL 1.4 and 1.5)
