What are we learning this week?
Reading:
SOL 1.9: The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of a variety of fictional texts.
f) Identify characters, setting, and important events.
g) Retell stories and events, using beginning, middle, and end.
h) Identify the main idea or theme.
Writing:
The student will write to communicate ideas for a variety of purposes.
b) Focus on one topic.
c) Revise by adding descriptive words when writing about people, places, things, and events.
g) Share writing with others.
Math:
1.2 The student, given up to 110 objects, will
a) group a collection into tens and ones and write the corresponding numeral;
b) compare two numbers between 0 and 110 represented pictorially or with concrete objects, using the words greater then, less than or equal to; and
c) order three or fewer sets from least to greatest and greatest to least.
