Flex
Scheduling
Mrs. Baker and
I are going to be using flex scheduling this year. This means that our classes will be switching
for Small Group Instruction. More information
about this will be coming home in the next few weeks.
New Lunch
Time
In order to facilitate
Mrs. Baker and I using flex scheduling, we will have a new lunch time. Our new
lunch time will be 11:20-11:45.
Isle of
Wight County Fair Field Trip
All the first grade classes will be going
to the IWC Fair on Friday, September 14, 2018. A permission slip for the fair is stapled
to this memo. We will be taking 2
chaperones per class. It is on a first
come, first serve basis. You must have a
background check completed by the school.
A form for this is also attached to this memo.
Wednesday Schedule Change
Each Wednesday, first grade teachers will be meeting for an
extended grade level meeting. We will still go to SOAR at 9:30-10:15. We will also have an extended Encore time (2:05-3:35.)
During this time, we will go to 2 Encore classes: Computer Science and
Library.

If you haven’t joined
our class on Class Dojo, please do so at this time. An information sheet with your child’s
personal code was sent home in their graded paper folder on the first day of
