 What are we learning this week?
Reading Story: Slim, Luke, and the Mules
Skill: Drawing Conclusions
Strategy: Plot (Characters, Setting, Problem, Solution)
Phonics: Short U and Long U Vowel Sound(vowel-consonant-"magic E" spelling); final consonant digraphs /ch/, /th/ and /sh/
Language:  past and present tense verbs  
Math: Place Value (SOL 1.1 a and SOL 1.1 b)
Social Studie: Famous Americans (SOL 1.2)
