Field Trip Money Due
End of the Year PALS Testing
Field Trip money is due by Friday, May 22. The cost of our trip to the zoo is $13.00. This includes transportation to and from the zoo, admission into the zoo, and a program that was presented to students from the Virginia Living Museum.
This week will continue the end of the year PALS (Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening) testing window. Students will be given a spelling test (not something they can study for), a series of sight word lists, and a running record in which they read to me individually. With the information gathered from this testing, I will determine their reading level for the end of the year. Once I have a chance to review the data from testing, I will send a letter home that shows your child's progress for the year.
