Weekly Update for 05/07/18

Chorus Program on Tuesday, May 8
Tuesday, May 8 will be our 1st grade chorus program. Students need to be in the music room at 6:30 and dressed in a red shirt with black pants or jeans.
Also, this will be the end of an era at Carrollton Elementary School.  Our program will be Mrs. Willard’s final performance because she will be retiring after 40 years as our music teacher.  If you or anyone you know had Mrs. Willard as a music teacher throughout her long career, we invite you to join us and bring a yellow flower to celebrate this amazing teacher.  Carrollton Elementary will not be the same without her.

Oliver Farms Field Trip
We are getting excited for our field trip to Oliver Farms on Thursday, May 10.  We will leave school around 9:30 and return around 1:00.  All students must ride the bus to and from the field trip.
A power point on strawberry planting to picking will be showed and then question/answer session. We will pick our strawberries, and have lunch at Nike Park. If you are planning to join us, the prices for parents that wish to pick strawberries are as follows: 2 quarts for $5 or 4 quarts for $9.
Field Day Shirt Sales
Our Field Day Shirt sale runs through Friday, May 11th.  If need a new order form, please e-mail or send a note in your child’s agenda book.

Donors Choose Project
Thanks to donations to our project “Easy Listening,” our class has 6 new sets of headphones.  We have another projected posted (a bit more expensive).  It is for tables and chairs that would allow for more flexibility.  A link to the project is listed below.
