We will be launching our first grade project for the year on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. On Tuesday, the first grade will have a special guest from the Navy come to speak to us. Then on Wednesday, some of our very own family members will be coming to CAES to speak with the first grade about their military experiences.
Each of these events is being used to introduce the first grade to our project. We will be learning about the different branches of the military, why is it important to honor those who have served or currently serve in our armed forces.
The project will culminate in the presentation of our music program, "Salute to the Troops." This will be held on Wednesday, May 22 @ 6:00. The expectation is that all first grade students will have the opportunity to show what they have learned throughout the study of our military. More information about this important program will be coming.
