AR:  Accelerated Reader

We have started AR this week.  AR stands for Accelerated Reader.  Students are reading books on their level and taking tests on them.  A letter outlining how you can connect view your child's AR data will be coming home in their graded paper folder on Tuesday.

What are we learning this week?

Skill: Predicting

Strategy:  Retelling and Sequencing 

Phonics: final consonants /ck/; short i families -ick, -it

Language: Nouns and Verbs

Math: Patterns (SOL 1.17) and Addition/Subtraction (SOL 1.5)

Science:  Sun and the Moon (SOL 1.7)
